Choices

Choices. Any choice we make in life can turn your life on a dime. The choices we make now, whether we can see it or not, will affect our life down the road. Even the smallest of choices will affect your life in some way. These choices can be good but they can also be bad. Sometimes a choice might seem good but end up turning out to be a terrible choice. That's what happened to me, I made a choice that [at the time] seemed like a great idea but now looking back was a terrible idea. I hope you can learn from my mistakes and make better choices when you're given the opportunity.

In school, cheating is a big "no-no". But what exactly is considered cheating? Wikipedia defines cheating as "an immoral way of achieving a goal. It is generally used for the breaking of rules to gain advantage in a competitive situation. Cheating is the getting of reward for ability by dishonest means." So an immoral way of achieving a goal. But what if someone doesn't have morals...well, I wouldn't want to be around them. Anyways, what could this goal be? In school cheating is when you write the answers to a test on your hand/desk or text your friend the answers during the test. Those are some of the more common cliche's of cheating. When I was younger, a common way that I remember kids cheating was taking the answer book and just memorizing the answers. I never wanted to do any of that kind of stuff, and never thought I would.

Yes, I cheated. But in a weird way. I am obviously going to keep the names of the people involved anonymous but here's the story. In one of my classes, we knew we had a test coming up and it was planned to be the next week. That day the teacher said it would be the next day. Nobody liked the idea and everyone seemed really stressed out. The teacher also mentioned making a "Jeopardy" review but wasn't going to give it out because it too closely resembled the test. After class the teacher was showing a couple students the Jeopardy because they really wanted to see what they were missing out on. Now at my school there are projectors in every room and at this point the teacher had the Jeopardy up on the projector screen and I happened to see the URL where it was posted.

At that moment I remembered how stressed out everyone was and thought to myself, "Wow. Here's my chance to help out my fellow classmates who are really stressed out." So I copied down the URL and went on with my day.

As most of you probably know, I'm pretty good with computers. So, I made a fake email using a proxy web browser and sent the email to my classmates. Side-note: The email took me literally 2 hours to send, because the email kept kicking me out for using a proxy. I should've taken this as a sign saying "YO IDIOT! STOP TRYING TO SEND THIS FREAKING EMAIL BECAUSE IT'S GOING TO BITE YOU IN THE A$$ IN THE LONG RUN!!" Yeah...I'm not too good at the subliminal message thing...

Anyways, the email went out and I didn't think much about it because I legitimately thought I was helping my fellow students. The next day after the test the teacher finds out and obviously brings it up in front of the class and asked someone to fess up. I wasn't gonna fess up! I thought I did something good! Fast forward a couple days.

Everything settled down but I had this huge weight on my shoulders. Just that thought of, "I did something wrong and now the whole class is getting in trouble, when I tried to do something good...crap." Then something that I learned, in school, came into my head "Own it". Own your mistakes like a man, grow a pair and take what's coming to you, because if you tell the truth now, it will be a lot easier in the long run.

And holy sh!t, did it take A LOT to walk into my teachers office and tell them what I did. I was never so scared/ashamed in my life. I just about crapped my pants. I thought I was going to get kicked out of school and be completely f*cked (but I did realize it was my and only my fault). Not the case at all. My teacher actually applauded me (figuratively) for being mature about the whole situation and "owning" it.

They said there will be consequences but since I was mature about it and "owned" it, they would be less harsh. I will be able to stay in school with this incident not harming my pristine "record", if you will.

What about my parents? Well, my mom was OK with it mainly because I "owned" it and told the truth. My dad? Well...let's just say it's still sinking in...

If there's one thing I hope you can take away from this is: just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. Another thing to take away is telling the truth will set you free. Literally. I feel so much better now that I told the truth and it's over. Back to the doing something because you can...just because you have certain "talents", if you will, doesn't mean you should use them in the wrong ways. Just because you can shoot a .22 doesn't mean you should become a serial killer. Use your talents in the right ways! Use your skills to help others, go into the marines or something and become a sniper and help your country or something! Just because you're given some information that you shouldn't have, doesn't mean you should share it with anyone and everyone. If you know you're not supposed to have it, just forget it from your memory and move on. Trust me, it will help you in the long run.

Thanks for reading and happy holidays!

New Pokemon Game [idea]!!!

ok hear me out on this. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this idea so maybe this isn't original but still...ok here's my idea:
The Name would be "Pokemon Origins". The game starts off where you get to fully customize your little avatar, because seriously it's not like we're all gonna look alike. Next you can either have your "rival" as a CPU or as another real life person (i.e. your friend or just a random person).
In this game however there isn't a professor that just gives you a Pokemon. There will be one pokeball in the starting town and you have to find it, then the little girl or whomever won't stop you from going into the grass. Everyone encounters a different first pokemon but nonetheless it is a level 2 and you catch it on your first try.
What generation of pokemon? :) Generation One...to begin with. Once you capture that pokemon you go on exploring the Kanto region. However there aren't any gym leaders. Because you are one of the first pokemon trainers, ever (thus the name "pokemon origins"). After you finish exploring the Kanto region, you learn from someone that there are actually more regions...so you go explore those regions (generation 2 - present). Again there aren't any gym leaders yet, because you are one of the first trainers. However there are pokemon "gangs" that you encounter who are very similar to gym leaders. There are also other trainers that you encounter.
So basically this game is all the other games combined. All the regions in one huge map, every single pokemon able to be caught, and in the end you become the first pokemon professor.
So...any thoughts, ideas, comments, etc?

Reparative Therapy (aka Conversion Therapy)

Reparative therapy hinders minors from forming their identity.  Governor Jerry Brown recently passed a law that makes reparative therapy illegal in California; the law takes effect in January.  This is not without opposition; David Pickup and his fellow therapists will be filing a lawsuit against this law.  Pickup says that the therapy helps, “…these children resolve their homosexual feelings and maximize their heterosexual potential…”  However, the American Psychiatric Association has “determined, in fact, that reparative therapy poses a great risk, including increasing the likelihood or severity of depression, anxiety and self-destructive behavior for those undergoing therapy.”

Pickup says that the children that come into his office are “’…crying, depressed, lonely, gender-identity confused and sexually confused’ ask for help voluntarily, because they are "distressed."  Why are they going to a reparative therapist, whose goal is to repair them, when they could go to a regular therapist to get help with these problems?  When searching “reparative therapy” on Google, a common search result comes up: “Conversion Therapy”.  Reparative therapy and conversion therapy is the same thing but reparative therapy sounds less harsh than conversion therapy, and lesser amount of people will know what reparative therapy is.  The definition from the American Psychological Association is “A pseudo-scientific therapy that aims to change sexual orientation.”  Whether you go to reparative therapy by force or by choice, they will try their hardest to change your sexual orientation.

What Pickup and other reparative therapists do is wrong.  They try to change a person’s sexuality to how the therapist wants it, not how the person wants it.  What is so wrong about a person being gay or lesbian or just plain different?  Is there reparative therapy for football fans?  If someone’s family was die-hard U of M fans but one of the children is an MSU fan; would some therapist try to fix that child to make them a U of M fan?  Of course not, this example is kind of silly but so is reparative therapy, why can’t someone be themselves?  And why can’t the world just accept who they are?  Reparative therapy most definitely hinders minors from forming their identity.

The RIGHT choice for president! (2012)

The right candidate to win the 2012 presidential election is neither Mitt Romney nor Barack Obama.  It is obvious it will be one of them though.  Obama has helped make 4.6 million new private sector jobs since his election in 2008.  He also rescued the auto industry, saving over one million jobs.  He also supports same-sex marriage unlike Mitt Romney.  Obama repealed the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” act which was keeping brave service members from telling the truth about who they really were.  On the other hand, Mitt Romney wants to take away a freedom from the constitution and make same-sex marriage illegal, everywhere.  Obama gave the order to raid Osama bin Laden’s compound where bin Laden was killed.  We know what Obama does, and how he is as a president.  We have no idea how or what Mitt Romney will do if he becomes president.  Mitt Romney’s website is very vague and confusing when giving “supporting” statistics to help him and against Obama.  There is no perfect candidate to win the 2012 presidential election. Each candidate has their own flaws as well as their own advantages.  The saying “pick your poison” really applies to this situation.  Neither Mitt Romney nor Barack Obama is the right candidate to win, but overall Barack Obama is outright with his facts and opinions on the various issues.  We also know what Barack Obama does as a president whereas with Mitt Romney we don’t really know what he will do once he gets that power.  Barack Obama should get another term to prove himself, if he doesn’t we’ll know he wasn’t the right choice and learn from it.

---------------------------------------------------Afterward-----------------------------------------------

I had to write this for my English class and thought I might as well post this on here since, this is where I can post my thoughts and feelings.  If you don't agree with me, great! Tell me why. If you do agree with me, awesome! Tell me why! I tried to touch all the issues that I felt affected me. Thanks for reading!

College Impressions so far

Holy Crap. Technically I'm in an "Early" College, but still. Anyways, my first day impressions are this:

  1. There are A LOT of people around (running, walking, sitting, sleeping, etc.)
  2. 15 min to get to class on the other side of the UNIVERSITY!! #WTF
  3. Different class rooms for the same class (on diff. days)
  4. Lots of hot girls
  5. Upperclassmen should be feared (just like in HS)
  6. This one hot girl was staring at me for a long time....good or bad?!?!? IDK!! (I wasn't being that weird...maybe I was...(smiley face)...)
  7. No iPads...yet...
  8. No math class...well, Economics but...no
So yup, those are my first impressions of [Early] College. Tomorrow is gonna be freaking crazy, trying to find classes, lunch, and maybe getting a hot girl's number ;) lol Talk to you guys later!!!

Gaming PC vs. iMac

I'm getting into PC gaming and I need some advice. Should I go with an iMac or a dedicated gaming PC. Here's what I'm looking at. (PS: Price isn't a problem)

Gaming PC:

  • 3.2GHz AMD Athlon II X2 processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • 450W power supply
  • 1 TB SATA II hard drive
  • Nvidia Geforce GT 520 with 1GB of video memory
  • Comes with keyboard, mouse, and windows 7 (no monitor included, I'll get a 25" LED one)
  • $579.99

iMac (21.5" version):
  • 2.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with 6MB on-chip shared L3 cache
  • Built in iSight webcam
  • 500GB Hard Drive
  • 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM
  • DVD SuperDrive
  • AMD Radeon HD 6750M graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR5 memory
  • $1,199.00
I'm thinking of going with the gaming PC because the hard drive is bigger, bigger video memory, and a bigger processor. I am also planning on using it for video editing so I think the gaming PC will be better but, let me know what you think on twitter (@kutarimeikitato or @thebytegaming01)! Also once I get one of these I will do an unboxing of it on my new tech/gaming channel...here http://goo.gl/f2jUY !!!

It's Been Awhile

Well I'm back in the US and I'm still getting adjusted back to my old life. It kinda sucks being back for a couple reasons.

  • The food isn't nearly as good
  • my bed is uber uncomfortable
  • my room is unreasonably hot
  • my privacy (what little I had in Japan) is gone
The saying "You never know what you have until it's gone." Why does it have to be so freaking true!?!?! Oh well. I'm trying to make better content for my YouTube channel. I'm trying to work with my friends on a pretty huge project that you guys (well no one reads this anyways) can help with! More info to come in time! Maybe! !!!! haha

Funny Idea :)

So, today while standing out in the 90+ degree weather here in Japan, I got this awesome idea. So here's a break down of my idea.

  • When I fly home on July 11th
  • Buy a completely different set of clothes here in Japan to wear
  • Try and walk past my family waiting for me at the airport when I arrive
  • See how long it takes for them to freak out (if I successfully walk past them)
Just an interesting experiment to see how well my family actually knows me :)

Japan.

After being away from home for almost a week (a week tmw) I've found out a lot about myself and Japan.

About me:

  • When I get stressed out I barf...a lot...
  • Coke and saltines remind me of home and make me feel better
  • I suck at speaking Japanese
  • Typhoons scare me
Japan:
  • RAIN
  • HOT
  • COLD
  • AGGGHHHH!!!
  • RICE EVERY MEAL
  • EAT ALL THE FOOD GIVEN TO YOU!!!
So yeah...that kind of sums up my trip so far...honestly I'm kinda not liking it here, I mean the people are really nice and the food is great...it's just...when I was here 4 years ago it seems like I experienced a lot more and got to do a lot more. I thought this time, since I was coming alone, that I would experience even more and get a better insight into Japan. I guess I'm a little homesick but, I think what I'm missing more is just being able to communicate easily and fluently with anyone and everyone. Being able to hang out with my friends and being around people I know. So you could call it "home sick" but, I think it's something different.

Oh yeah before I go...the reason I was so stressed out was because, I was pretty much thrown into a class with people that can't speak english and they speak japanese very fast and i was mobbed...so it was a very overwhelming first couple of days. But, it's not like I can participate in class...in Math they're doing Trig (and they're a grade behind me, so sophomores), in Biology I have no idea...and in every other class besides spanish and english grammer i'm screwed! Oh yeah...it is really weird in Spanish because I have 3 different languages going through my head at the same time trying to communicate to them...wow. That was crazy!

Well, I better go otherwise I'm gonna be sick...hahahahaha

and that concludes the photos :) lol i think they make $100 bills softer because it was really soft! maybe that's why rich ppl use it as toilet paper!? lol peace!

My 16 Songs

Overcoming Fear:  B.o.B (2012) – “So Good”
I found this song pretty recently because it was just released recently. I listen to this song before anything I start getting nervous about, it lightens up the mood and after listening to it a few times I’m not nervous anymore.
My Future:  Weezer (2005) – “Beverly Hills”
This song is one of my all time favorites and I listen to it at least once or twice a day. It reminds me that as long as I try in life I can achieve my goals. It is also very catchy so that’s a plus. J
My Dreams:  Travis McCoy (2010) – “Billionaire (feat. Bruno Mars)”
This song has similar meaning as “Beverly Hills” but this is more about my dreams…because let’s be realistic…I doubt I’m ever going to be a billionaire but it’s something I keep in the back of my mind as a dream.
Life:  Bowling for Soup (2006) – “High School Never Ends”
The first time I heard this song was when my cousin showed me the music video on his iPod when I was about 10 years old. I didn’t really understand the song then but now it has a greater meaning. It means that life is pretty much an endless cycle until you die…
Childhood:  Chris Rice (1989) – “Cartoons”
This is the first song I remember ever hearing. I know I heard a lot of songs before this one but this is the one that has stuck with me. It’s kind of a childish song but it was definitely my favorite song when I was younger.
Regret:  Children 18:3 (2008) – “Homemade Valentine”
After listening to this song a lot I realized it reminded me of the regrets I have in life. When the opportunity presents itself I need to take it. In the song it talks about hopes and dreams that didn’t come true and I can relate to that.
Standing Up For What You Believe In:  Eminem (2010) – “Not Afraid”
Not being afraid to stand up for what you believe in and standing up for yourself is what this song means to me. I started listening to a lot of Eminem at the beginning of the school year because it sounded pretty cool but this song was really motivational to get stuff done and to stand up for what I believe in.
Break-up Song:  All American Rejects (2008) – “Gives You Hell”
This is a GREAT song to listen to after a break-up. Although I’ve only had one, it was a great song to listen to after it. And honestly I forgot about it until I listened to this song again. J
Feel Good Song:  Flo Rida (2011) – “Good Feeling”
Just like the name of the song, every time I heard this song on the radio (before it was overplayed) I always felt great no matter what mood I was in. Then it was played WAY too much on the radio so it lost its “touch”.
Music Freedom:  No Interruption (2012) – “Hoodie Allen”
This is a song on the first full album I ever bought with my own money. Usually I would just convert the music video to mp3 but I really appreciated this album (All American) so I bought it. All the songs on this album are really motivational and fun.
My Friends:  The Lonely Island (2011) – “Jack Sparrow (ft. Michael Bolton)”
Last summer me and my friends from my old school hung out a lot and we decided to go to the most recent Pirates of the Caribbean movie and I had found this song right before that and before the movie I showed them it. It just reminds me of how much fun we used to have. It is also a really funny song if you listen to the lyrics.
Childhood dreams:  Smash Mouth (1999) – “All Star”
When I heard this song in Shrek, I immediately “fell in love” with it. It was catchy and at the time I was playing soccer and I had just gone to my first concert so I kind of wanted to be a rock star, at the time I thought it was realistic…also me and my friends can sing this whole song together pretty good.
Childhood memories:  Simple Plan (2002) – “I’m Just a Kid”
I didn’t find this song until I was older but it reminds me of when I was younger. When you’re a kid you can’t really do anything, you don’t have a car, you can’t go anywhere or do anything without a parent…wow that sounds a lot like my life right now…so I can relate to it right now in my life as well.
The YouTube Life:  Spose (2010) – “I’m Awesome”
This song is similar to “I’m Just a Kid” but more relatable to my life now. In the song it says, “I met all my friends online…” That’s kind of how I see my future life, making videos online, meeting people that do the same thing. Not living the norm, doing fun stuff with no guarantee of success. Lots of risks.
Freshman year:  Good Charlotte (2002) – “The Anthem”
Yup, I listened to this song pretty much every day last year. It kept me motivated to keep on keeping on, no matter how crappy that day was. It also talks about not living like other people do, and being yourself. It’s one of my favorite all time songs.
Summer Vacation:  Nickelback (2010) – “This Afternoon”
This song describes the last day of 8th grade, almost perfectly for me. My friend had a limo pick me and my friends up from school and we went to his house for a pool party. That was one of the most fun days of my life. It was just…I can’t describe how amazing it was.

Yup this was an English assignment and I thought I'd share it...it's pretty personal...lol

SKULLCANDY JIB IN EAR, EARBUDS REVIEW!

I got mine for $9.99 from target, and honestly I didn't think they were gonna be that great. I had a pair of Ink'd earbuds also from skullcandy which broke after a few months...I've had my new ones for a few hours and they have been AWESOME!!! I've been trying to listen to different songs genres to see how each sound. They all sound amazing! The earbuds really boost the bass ALOT!!! If you don't like extra bass, don't get these. WASSUP!?

So a lot of exciting events have been taking place lately! First off, the series I've been working on for awhile now just got finished and I'm working on a trailer now (should be coming out soon!). Secondly, I got my tix to japan!!! I'm soo excited to go there again! Lastly, I've been working on forming a band and I think I might've found one to join! So yeah that's my life right now, it feels pretty awesome to be me right now..but I know when I go to school on tuesday I'm gonna think "Wow, how did i think my life was so great?" Because honestly high school sucks. Not the part of doing homework and learning...the part where everything you do, you get judged by others. And everything is taken the wrong way, like you could say "get it in the hole" and you're talking about golf and someone will make a joke about it. it's really annoying. anyways talk to ya guys later!

HOTNESS!!!

I'M SO FREAKING HOT RIGHT NOW IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY, WELL ACTUALLY IT IS BECAUSE I'M SHOWING MY ANGER BY USING CAP LOCKS AND I'M NOT ACTUALLY MAD IN PERSON!!!! CAP LOCKS off. So anyways I'm really, really hot right now! I could use a nice cold shower but my sister is in it...wow. I'm thinking of joining a band, an actual band! It's always kinda been a dream of mine to be a recording artist and go on tour so it might happen! But, probably not because for some reason nothing ever works out for me...it's kinda...it IS lame!!! So yeah, yup and I'm pretty sure I have ADD or ADHD because I just can't stop doing stuff or I legitly feel pain...but not unbareable...just a weird pain...idk...it's weird...whatever, bacon. I don't really show it because I hold it back but...when I don't I become pretty crazy and you probably wouldn't reconize me. Yup so I'm gonna go, peace. oh yeah new video TMW (youtube.com/UniverseAnswers). I should probably make it sometime...crap...oh well :)

Long time no see!!! REALLY!!!

WASSUP!!!! I feel like I haven't posted a blog entry in FOREVER!!!! It's crazy how I used to post almost every day and now I don't! So what's happening with you? My last post was kinda....weird I guess. I just read it and I'm like "Did I really post that?". Anyways, I have a long weekend and I'm working on my new series called "Unknown" check it out and subscribe to that channel!

I don't know what else to talk about...I have a really bad headache and tonight is my last night of speedskating for the season. Kinda sad but not entirely, because that means summer is on its way and that means Japan is on its way! I CANNOT wait to go there, it should be AMAZING!!! Well, I think that's all for now, be sure to check out my YouTube channels and subscribe. Yup, I found 2 new TV shows that are pretty cool. PEACE!!

Girls

Ok...so there's this girl in my 6th hour that sits next to me and I kinda like her. Today she said did you miss me yesterday...so the first thing that comes to my head is "Not..really..." because I didn't want to sound desperate and say "YES!!" but obviously how I responded wasn't good either. Does any guy actually understand girls? I doubt it. Us, guys, are more simple minded...in the sense that what we say is what we mean. Where as girls are like a freaking novel and your english teacher asks you about a sentence like "The ocean was blue", what does the author mean. I'm thinking to myself, "He means the ocean was freaking blue, no more, no less!" That's how girls are, they say simple stuff but you have to think way deeper than what they're actually saying! Obviously I'm not ready for another GF, even as much as I want to ask this girl out.

I mean until you can drive by yourself, and do stuff without your parents...having a GF is pretty much pointless. In conclusion, I would like to thank the Academy...whoops, wrong essay...Anyways I think I'll just wait until the summer or next school year and see what happens.

Peace!

It's The Little Things in Life

This is a really simple text editor which is actually kinda cool just because I'm using Ubuntu and not Windows 7!!

I also got a graphing calculator today which for some ppl they would think, "Wow, that's lame." Nope not me :) I appreciate the little things in life because I know some kids can't afford a graphing calculator.

I think if everyone else could just appreciate the little things in life we'd ALL be better off. Like this story I'm gonna tell you.

Tonight I went to a fish fry at our local bowling alley. And about a week ago or so, my mom went to a hockey game and saw one of my old friends. (I hadn't seen him in probably 3ish years) She told me that he didn't really have any friends and that he hated school. First off, I knew he hated school. He always said that, lol. But, the not having any friends part was what really surprised me. Apparently he was getting into the wrong group of kids, you know them: drugs, drinking, etc. Anyways, he realized that and just stopped hanging out with them. So I guess he doesn't really have any friends now, except for his cousin who's a year older. This really bugged me, last weekend. But throughout the week I kinda forgot about it. Tonight when we went to the fish fry, he was there (his relatives own the bowling alley so...yeah). We talked and "caught up" about what each of us were doing. Honestly, that was just awesome to see one of my really old friends and see what each of us were doing. Now he's thinking about going to this early college that I'm going to this coming school year. That would seriously be amazing. I'm also thinking of maybe hanging out this summer, because really...my friends from my old school that I used to hang out with...well we're kinda growing apart. My friends from my new school, well we're not super close.

Anyways, just wanted to share that little story of inspiration with you all, and I hope you guys can enjoy the little things in life! :)

How NOT to Interview!!!

Sup people of the world!!! So today I filmed a gun safety video at my local field and stream...we were there for about 3 hours and I have about 6GB of video. Honestly I was more stressed out writing/story-boarding than actually directing it. It was really fun and I worked with a great group of people to make it happen. I most likely won't be posting it on YouTube just because I doubt most the people in it would be ok with that. Now the fun part...editing! I'm NOT be sarcastic at all!! I really have more fun editing than directing or writing...kinda weird but yup!

If you haven't seen my latest interview check below!

Thanks for reading my blog and I'll see ya later!!

New vlog, I have another announcement, what's new?

Here's my latest vlog which was actually one of my favorites to make:

My announcement is this:

I have figured out that I like making people laugh and I like making videos and I also like making videos with SWEET/RAD VFX. So I've decided that once I'm in film school I will start making A LOT more VFX videos and I'm gonna try making my videos a little more funny which I think I did pretty good with this Friday's video ;) I'm pretty excited for that video because it has something to do with what I'm stressed out about and I make it uber funny...well at least to me. In it I also make a "Step Brothers" reference :) lol

See ya guys friday!
