This is a really simple text editor which is actually kinda cool just because I'm using Ubuntu and not Windows 7!!
I also got a graphing calculator today which for some ppl they would think, "Wow, that's lame." Nope not me :) I appreciate the little things in life because I know some kids can't afford a graphing calculator.
I think if everyone else could just appreciate the little things in life we'd ALL be better off. Like this story I'm gonna tell you.
Tonight I went to a fish fry at our local bowling alley. And about a week ago or so, my mom went to a hockey game and saw one of my old friends. (I hadn't seen him in probably 3ish years) She told me that he didn't really have any friends and that he hated school. First off, I knew he hated school. He always said that, lol. But, the not having any friends part was what really surprised me. Apparently he was getting into the wrong group of kids, you know them: drugs, drinking, etc. Anyways, he realized that and just stopped hanging out with them. So I guess he doesn't really have any friends now, except for his cousin who's a year older. This really bugged me, last weekend. But throughout the week I kinda forgot about it. Tonight when we went to the fish fry, he was there (his relatives own the bowling alley so...yeah). We talked and "caught up" about what each of us were doing. Honestly, that was just awesome to see one of my really old friends and see what each of us were doing. Now he's thinking about going to this early college that I'm going to this coming school year. That would seriously be amazing. I'm also thinking of maybe hanging out this summer, because really...my friends from my old school that I used to hang out with...well we're kinda growing apart. My friends from my new school, well we're not super close.
Anyways, just wanted to share that little story of inspiration with you all, and I hope you guys can enjoy the little things in life! :)
